This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conduct remote work at customer locations, installing and maintaining equipment while also offering customer training and support as needed.
• Diagnose and repair injection molding machines and robots, performing tests and inspections on all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, or software components, including calibrations to enhance performance.
• Carry out software and hardware installations.
• Execute all necessary safety checks on equipment.
• Educate customers about the equipment and guide them on proper operation.
• Oversee the resolution of customer issues, including the ordering and installation of replacement parts when required.
• Order replacement parts by diagnosing problems with control systems and develop a systematic approach to resolve machine issues and replace parts as necessary.
• Train other Service Technicians and/or customer operators on the maintenance and safe operation of injection molding systems.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to seek solutions to problems faced in the field.
• Regularly provide written reports to the Service Manager.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in troubleshooting or processing injection molding, or prior experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with injection molding machines, possessing a well-rounded skill set in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and computer systems, with the ability to provide basic training to customers and employees.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the injection molding process.
• Capable of systematically troubleshooting issues.
• Familiar with microprocessor programming.
• Knowledgeable about materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other common materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to handle difficult or dissatisfied customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Committed team player with a positive demeanor.
• Familiarity with ENGEL machines and robots is a plus.
• Must possess a valid Passport and a driver's license in good standing that includes REAL-ID.
