Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish priorities and coordinate service appointments.

• Notify customers of the expected arrival time.

• Install, troubleshoot, and offer technical support for hardware and software, primarily at client sites.

• Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, servicing, and minor repairs on ATMs, point-of-sale systems, computers, and associated peripherals.

• Carry out basic installations of cables, devices, and Mas-Hamilton locks.

• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify hardware and software issues.

• Execute component-level hardware repairs and fine-tune mechanical components.

• Set up and install relevant software.

• Perform preventive maintenance and restock consumables per established guidelines.

• Install, relocate, add, modify, and remove hardware and software products.

• Accurately document service-related information and complete necessary paperwork.

• Escalate problems and reassign service requests as required.

• Educate customers on the operation and usage of installed hardware and software.

• Engage in training sessions, KPI implementation, and special initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma is mandatory.

• One to two years of experience in technical service.

• A valid driver’s license with a driving record that complies with DN fleet standards.

• Proficient computer knowledge and skills.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities at an advanced level.

• Excellent prioritization and follow-up capabilities at an advanced level.

• Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.

• Flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including a rotating on-call schedule during evenings and weekends.

• Capability to organize and manage inventory of parts and tools within the service vehicle.

• Ability to operate a company vehicle.

• Successful completion of driver’s record, background checks, and drug screenings.

• Capability to lift heavy equipment exceeding 9 kg (20 lb) and work in positions that involve standing, bending, crouching, and frequent hand and finger movement.

• Fluency in French is required.

• Willingness to travel to the United States for training purposes.

• Educational qualifications or equivalent work experience is needed.

• At least 1–2 years of pertinent experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience in Field Services.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Technical or specialized training is considered an asset.
