This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Acquire knowledge of practices and procedures related to Field Service Technicians.
• Diagnose hardware and software malfunctions using diagnostic tools and thorough analysis.
• Conduct repairs at the component level for hardware.
• Clean and fine-tune mechanical components.
• Set up and install relevant software applications.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections following documented protocols.
• Replenish consumables as instructed.
• Install, relocate, add, modify, and remove hardware and software products.
• Educate and train customers on the use and operation of installed hardware and software.
• Engage in training related to hardware and software.
• Contribute to the implementation of strategies to meet established KPIs.
• Support special projects as assigned.
• Required education or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Field Services.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets DN's fleet standards.
• Proficiency in PC use and a solid understanding and application of relevant tools and methodologies.
• Willingness to attend training sessions in San Jose, CA for one week.
• Capability to lift and transport heavy loads, remain on feet for extended periods, and perform climbing, bending, and stooping tasks while working on equipment.
• Acceptance of potential exposure to outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility in shift schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to organize and manage inventory of truck stock parts and tools.
• A sense of urgency, organizational acumen, professional demeanor, and the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
• Must pass MVR, background, and drug tests where applicable.
• Must reside in the San Fernando, CA area, extending down to Downtown LA, up to Santa Clarita, and out to Ventura, including North Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Simi Valley, CA.
• Preferred product knowledge of the relevant industry and basic ITIL skills.
• Prior experience as a Firstline Service Technician is preferred.
• Vocational/Trade School background is preferred.
