Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute installations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance on intricate electro-mechanical scientific instruments within a laboratory setting.

• Maintain open lines of communication with customers to guarantee effective service delivery.

• Essential skills include the ability to prepare samples for instrument testing and possess basic laboratory knowledge.

• Fulfill service protocols that align with cGMP documentation standards.

• Operate under direct supervision to organize and schedule customer appointments.

• Ensure timely submission of service reports to clients, accurate data entry in CRM software, and maintenance of monthly expense and mileage logs.

• Oversee personal inventory for field support and manage associated costs.

• Collaborate effectively to assist teams with pre- and post-sales inquiries and responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in an engineering or science discipline with 1 year of field service experience in the life science, biotech, or medical sectors, OR completion of military electrical technical training with 1 year of field service experience in the same industries, OR at least 3 years of field service experience in the life science, biotech, or medical sectors.

• Proficient computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

• Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.

• Laboratory experience is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

• Capability to lift and carry tools, parts, and instruments weighing up to 50 lbs.
