
Field Service Technical Specialist β Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.
β’ Offer design assistance to the New Product team by assessing user needs, establishing product specifications, and conducting field and simulation tests.
β’ Assist customers by providing technical details, specifications, and data requirements aligned with Geotab product offerings.
β’ Aid the sales team with technical applications based on requests from Resellers and Customers.
β’ Provide real-time support to Installation partners and their installers when necessary.
β’ Deliver specific technical installation requirements and wiring diagrams.
β’ Stay updated on technological advancements and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to evolving market demands.
β’ Foster innovation by researching and proposing new ideas.
β’ Develop and implement Installer Certification Tests.
β’ Refresh modules with the latest Geotab Product information.
β’ Engage in the evaluation and auditing of installer performance.
β’ Ensure adherence to company installation quality standards in the field.
β’ Revise all installation documents and product guides with the most recent information.
β’ Collaborate with installers to guarantee their understanding and use of the Field Services department's price list for installation services.
β’ When necessary, conduct installations in the field as part of demonstration, training, or pilot projects.
β’ Produce installation videos and guides by capturing photo sets and video content in collaboration with our L&D Teams.
β’ Distribute feedback surveys, assist with Field Services invoicing procedures, and maintain the ticketing system.
β’ Continuously seek and propose methods to enhance internal and external systems and processes within the organization, particularly regarding installations and on-site services.
β’ Identify and qualify new installation partners.
β’ Address and resolve installer issues and concerns.
β’ Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
β’ 3β5 years of prior experience as an installation field service specialist in Telematics, the Automotive industry, or a related field.
β’ Proficiency with OBD and CAN communications, SAE vehicle standards, and serial data interfaces.
β’ Required experience in hardware/software integration, database systems, and data set analysis.
β’ Knowledge of database systems and data set analysis techniques.
β’ Experience managing relationships with third-party contractors, along with excellent customer service skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and partners.
β’ Expertise in automotive electronics, with comprehensive knowledge of components, testing equipment, and hand tools.
β’ Understanding of communication systems and networks (Cellular, GPS, serial data).
β’ Technical proficiency in software programs, including Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
β’ Frequent travel is required β ability to travel up to 60% of the time; a passport is necessary, along with the capacity to travel internationally.
