This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee operational readiness tasks for new site launches, which includes tracking startup budgets, planning resource allocation, conducting readiness evaluations, and reporting status to operational leadership.
• Track expenses related to startup and deployment, ensuring adherence to approved budgets while providing reports, analyses, and recommendations.
• Facilitate the onboarding of technicians and coordinate field-based training programs in collaboration with Learning & Development and operational leadership.
• Engage in technician interviews, offering technical evaluations and hiring suggestions.
• Assess technical skills during the onboarding process and provide constructive feedback along with readiness evaluations.
• Advise Operations Managers and Regional Service Managers on workforce readiness, identify technical capability gaps, suggest process enhancements, and improve operational efficiencies.
• Provide on-site technical guidance during facility startups, operational interruptions, and critical staffing requirements.
• Act as the technical point of escalation for intricate equipment, system, and operational challenges.
• Offer hands-on coaching, technical training, and developmental feedback to field technicians.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to evaluate workforce readiness, prioritize field support deployments, and enhance service delivery.
• Cultivate and sustain customer relationships through expert technical assistance and by upholding Kenco’s service, quality, and safety standards.
• Contribute to the Kenco Operating System by engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, conducting operational audits, performing investigations, and implementing actions to enhance safety, inventory accuracy, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in material handling equipment service, maintenance, or a related technical field is required.
• 2-4 years of supervisory or lead technician experience is essential, showcasing the ability to manage, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and/or automated systems is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor individuals in technical settings is required.
• Strong familiarity with business systems and technology platforms is essential.
• Previous experience as a trainer or lead technician is preferred.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to set up an iPad is required.
• Must be a certified forklift operator trainer.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% - 75% is expected.
• A passport is recommended but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to be deployed on short notice based on business requirements is necessary.
