This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee operational readiness tasks for new site launches, which includes tracking startup budgets, planning resource deployment, conducting readiness evaluations, and reporting status to operational leadership.
• Track expenditures related to startup and deployment, ensuring adherence to approved budgets while providing reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
• Facilitate the onboarding of technicians and coordinate field training programs in collaboration with Learning & Development and operational leadership.
• Engage in technician interviews and offer technical evaluations and hiring suggestions.
• Assess technical abilities during onboarding and provide constructive feedback and readiness evaluations.
• Suggest improvements for workforce readiness, technical capabilities, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Offer on-site technical leadership during facility launches, operational interruptions, and critical staffing requirements.
• Act as the technical escalation contact for intricate equipment, system, and operational challenges.
• Provide hands-on coaching, technical instruction, and developmental feedback to field technicians.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers and Regional Service Managers to evaluate workforce readiness and prioritize field support deployments.
• Develop and sustain customer relationships while upholding Kenco's standards for service, quality, and safety.
• Contribute to the Kenco Operating System through continuous improvement initiatives, conducting operational audits, investigations, and actions that enhance safety, inventory accuracy, equipment performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Travel is expected to be around 50%–75%.
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in the service, maintenance, or a related technical field involving material handling equipment.
• Required: 2-4 years of supervisory or lead technician experience, showcasing the ability to manage, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and/or automated systems.
• Established capability to train and mentor individuals in technical settings.
• Strong knowledge of business systems and technology platforms.
• Prior experience as a trainer or lead technician is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary.
• Ability to set up an iPad.
• Must be a certified forklift operator trainer.
• Must be flexible to deploy on short notice according to business requirements.
• A passport is not mandatory but is recommended.
