This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Travel to client locations to install, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on customer equipment, which includes flooded and sealed batteries, chargers, and DC power distribution systems (cable trays, battery racks, and power cables).
• Engage with individuals at all organizational levels, both within and outside the company.
• Design and deliver training programs on the safe operation of equipment, demonstrating skills to trainees that include team members and clients.
• Execute preventative maintenance inspections of customers’ batteries, chargers, battery handling equipment, and battery changing/charging areas while documenting findings.
• Replace faulty components, reassemble batteries, and fuse lead parts using a gas torch.
• Assess the specific gravity of solutions. Clean, wash, and neutralize customer batteries at their locations.
• Install equipment at client facilities to guarantee full functionality in line with specifications.
• Offer on-site technical support to assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Maintain performance report records.
• Act as a communication bridge between the customer and the company to ensure effective service delivery.
• Occasionally download battery and charger data using a monitoring device and utilize this information to address or rectify battery/charger issues in alignment with customer operations.
• Occasionally report to the local EnerSys Service Center for mandatory training, inventory management, parts pick-up/drop-off, etc.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; or relevant industry experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Previous experience in customer service, specifically in field support.
• Capable of reading comprehension and writing documents (such as customer correspondence, memos, and reports) in English.
• Able to perform basic mathematical operations and solve simple equations.
• Must be available to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours service calls when necessary.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record with minimal traffic infractions.
• Willing and able to travel to customer locations.
• Driving Requirements: Capable and willing to operate a forklift.
• Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment correctly at all times.
• Must be willing and able to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Periodic blood tests are mandated to monitor lead levels.
• The company and employees take precautions to minimize exposure risk and ensure overall safety.
• Must be willing and able to travel overnight.
