
Field Service Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee essential operational metrics such as utilization, staffing levels, work-in-progress, and forecasting to guarantee effective service delivery.
• Analyze departmental P&L performance, recognize trends or inconsistencies, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Ensure that all work adheres to company quality standards and conforms to established Standard Operating Procedures.
• Advocate for and maintain company safety policies, ensuring all team members engage in required safety training.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of annual business plans.
• Aid business development efforts by working alongside the sales team to identify opportunities and enhance customer relationships.
• Collaborate closely with other branches and departments to provide integrated, company-wide customer solutions.
• Plan and oversee workforce requirements, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance development for technical and operational staff.
• Collaborate with HR, Workforce Development, and Regional Management to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Mentor and develop subordinate managers to improve leadership capability and technical expertise.
• Support organizational initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as needed to contribute to the company’s overall success.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a relevant industry (e.g., NETA testing, power systems, electrical services).
• Proven success in leading and developing technical teams.
• Strong business acumen with a background in P&L analysis, forecasting, and operational planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Capability to fulfill pre-employment requirements, which may include background checks and job-related fitness assessments, in compliance with applicable laws.
