
Field Service Engineer – Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repairs on assigned equipment.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions.
• Order and manage the repair parts cycle times efficiently.
• Stay current with administrative tasks, including timely maintenance of customer service logs and internal service records.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure issues are resolved and follow-ups are conducted appropriately.
• Properly maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring they are calibrated as needed.
• Adhere to Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and any other applicable regulatory standards.
• Oversee vendor service delivery processes in accordance with GE Healthcare policies.
• Leverage the escalation process to address customer service delivery challenges and perform root cause analysis for effective problem resolution.
• Engage in sales opportunities, such as contract renewals, and assist in promoting and implementing revenue-generating programs.
• Collaborate with the local team to ensure efficient service delivery across all accounts within the designated area.
• May involve training clinical staff on designated equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military education, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including successful completion of the GEHC Field Service Engineer Apprentice Program.
• High School Diploma/GED combined with 12 or more years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience working with both internal team members and external customers.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and addressing customer concerns effectively.
• Must be willing to comply with customer-driven Vendor Credentialing requirements.
