This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.
• Conducts installations, maintenance, repairs, and various verification/qualification services on hospital and laboratory instruments within a designated territory.
• Sets up and installs instrumentation along with peripheral equipment at client locations.
• Performs preventative maintenance services on instrumentation.
• Offers technical support for troubleshooting instrumentation via phone, email, and/or in-person in response to requests, inquiries, and complaints.
• Repairs instruments or replaces components as necessary.
• Achieves key quality and performance metrics established for field service.
• Ensures timely responses to customer inquiries and requests in alignment with service level agreements.
• Records calls and complaints using tracking software.
• Delivers training to customers and Technical Service staff as required.
• An Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent certification in electronics, engineering, physics, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer supporting laboratory instrumentation is essential.
• Willingness to travel 75%, including weekends as necessary.
• Potential for some international travel for training and other purposes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer interaction skills are necessary.
• Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills are required.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Capable of multitasking among various concurrent activities while managing priorities effectively.
• Ability to collaborate cohesively and effectively within a team environment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
