Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Onto Innovation products, including metrology and inspection tools.

• Execute the installation of new tools, fulfilling both engineering and application tasks.

• Address tool downtime situations and respond to maintenance requests as necessary.

• Supply accurate documentation as requested and provide feedback to the US factory when needed.

• Offer insights to the sales team as required, contributing potential leads for future sales opportunities.

• Deliver application feedback to focus on continuous product enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in field service within the semiconductor industry.

• Prior knowledge of equipment fault detection with expertise in electrical, mechanical, and software domains.

• Desired experience in semiconductor applications.

• College or university degree in engineering.

• Capable of working independently while also being part of a team.

• Strong interpersonal and customer communication skills.

• Proficient in utilizing all Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
