Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Executing the installation and commissioning of Nordson systems

• Conducting preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs for Nordson equipment

• Providing customer instruction on the operation of Nordson equipment

• Diagnosing issues related to PA-specific technology, including fault analysis within customer processes

• Performing customer tests in collaboration with sales and application technology in the PA lab and on-site

• Engaging in staging activities (Verification of customer specifications, application and system tests, determination of process parameters)

• Compiling and submitting administrative and technical reports in a timely manner

• Offering insights on new markets, adjustments in existing markets, competitor activities (pricing and product modifications), and requirements for new or redesigned Nordson hardware

• Collaborating with Aftermarket and Sales teams and PA EMEA Customer Project Engineers to enhance opportunities for sales of Nordson PA systems, spare parts, and maintenance contracts

• Conducting customer training sessions for systems and applications in both English and the local language

• Working together on exhibitions, open houses, and similar events

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a mechatronics discipline or equivalent

• Ideally, extensive practical experience (over 5-10 years) as a Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician

• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• Capability to interpret technical drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic, and wiring diagrams

• Preferable knowledge of PLC systems and interfaces

• Familiarity with typical instrumentation, tools, and equipment

• Experience in installation, service, maintenance, and related fields

• Computer proficiency for creating administrative and technical reports

• Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP

• Fluent in English
