This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Conduct preventive and general maintenance, troubleshoot, and execute corrective actions for analytical and metallographic instruments.
• Handle the installation of new instruments as well as updates and upgrade kit installations.
• Deliver training on operational theory, software usage, and best maintenance practices.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with LECO’s ISO accreditation.
• Self-driven individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comply with customer site and safety regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
• Participate in instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3-5 months.
• Complete field service training alongside experienced field service engineers across the country.
• Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan.
• Willingness to travel daily, including up to four overnight stays per week (Monday – Friday).
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successfully pass a background check and substance abuse screenings.
• Must have authorization to work in the US without any restrictions.
• Should possess a personal credit card or the capability to obtain one.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or a willingness to learn.
• Background in chemistry or military service is a plus, but not mandatory.
• A signing bonus of $5,000.
