Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Execute troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair tasks on Beckman Coulter equipment.

• Deliver exceptional and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s clients.

• Facilitate technical training sessions on products.

• Keep precise customer service logs and maintain internal service records.

• Order repair components and comply with cycle times.

• Use business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning.

• Interact with various levels of internal and external customers.

• Encourage teamwork by supporting the training of new Field Service Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree (preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field) or equivalent military experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.

• Proven ability to manage a dynamic service schedule, travel throughout an assigned region, and independently complete service documentation, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions while adhering to company performance and compliance standards.

• Willingness to travel – 100% within the assigned territory, with additional support outside the territory as necessary.

• Possess a current valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record over the past three years.

• Capability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods.

• Previous field service experience in medical devices, biotech, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
