Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute intricate technical procedures to ensure the optimal performance of Alcon equipment according to specifications.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Alcon surgical devices within a designated service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades in line with company standards.

• Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to foster future business, encompassing sales and renewals of Annual Maintenance Contracts/Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contracts.

• Record and maintain service logs for clients and generate reports for product failure analysis and serviceability concerns.

• Refer issues to appropriate engineering teams as necessary.

• Organize your daily schedule while ensuring effective and timely communication with customers, dispatch, managers, regional, and cross-functional teams.

• Comply with Good Practice (GxP) regulations by diligently adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining precise documentation, ensuring stringent quality control and regulatory compliance.

• Fulfill all mandatory training requirements and meet individual job expectations to enhance the overall compliance of the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent years of directly relevant experience.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating fluently in English.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to resolve issues, think critically, and communicate professionally in high-pressure, time-sensitive customer settings.

• Experience with advanced medical devices, particularly those utilizing lasers.

• Familiarity with protocols in hospital operating rooms and surgery centers.

• Practical knowledge of ServiceMax / CRM tools.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, including tools, replacement parts, and other equipment.
