Field Service Engineer – Apprentice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Assist with the servicing, maintenance, and repair of medical imaging equipment at client sites.

• Assess equipment performance and facilitate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, installations, and repairs to adhere to OEM standards.

• Diagnose and address electronic, mechanical, and network issues under the mentorship of senior engineers while enhancing technical skills.

• Accurately document service work and assist in training end users on the proper operation and upkeep of equipment.

• Effectively communicate with management and team members, providing updates, reporting issues, and recognizing opportunities for improvement.

• Professionally represent the company on-site, fostering strong customer relationships.

• Promote continuous improvement by sharing field insights and engaging in ongoing learning of new technologies and repair techniques.

• Driving and vehicle operation are vital responsibilities of this position.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to troubleshoot issues using critical thinking and initiative.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail.

• Clear and professional verbal, written, and listening skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and team members.

• Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships and maintains a respectful, customer-focused demeanor.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, diagnostic software, computer hardware, and accurate data entry/database management.

• Adheres to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and complying with all driving-related standards.

• Equivalent military training or experience in a technical specialty may also be considered.

• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience.

• Proven mechanical aptitude demonstrated through a combination of work experience and/or relevant training.

• Associate degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or a related field.
