Field Service Engineer – Apprentice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of medical imaging equipment at customer sites.

• Assess equipment performance and facilitate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, installations, and repairs to comply with OEM standards.

• Diagnose and address electronic, mechanical, and network challenges under the supervision of senior engineers while honing technical skills.

• Accurately document service activities and assist in training end users on the proper operation and upkeep of equipment.

• Communicate effectively with management and team members, providing updates, reporting issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Professionally represent the company on-site, fostering strong customer relationships.

• Promote continuous improvement by sharing insights from the field and pursuing ongoing education in new technologies and repair techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Experience: Equivalent military training or experience in a technical specialty may also be taken into account.

• At least one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience is required.

• Proven mechanical aptitude demonstrated through a combination of work experience and/or relevant training.

• Education (or equivalent experience): An Associate degree in a technical field such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and fulfilling all driving-related compliance requirements.
