This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Deliver scientific information while presenting and promoting relevant AbbVie products to both office-based and hospital specialists, ensuring compliance with § 76 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz, AMG) “Duties of the pharmaceutical sales representative.”
• Execute the brand strategy effectively.
• Perform market analysis utilizing available data, assess the regional market concerning sales trends of both our products and competitors, and identify potential opportunities and critical trends.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute a territory plan in collaboration with the in-field team.
• Provide proficient customer management by actively advising physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare organizations when necessary.
• Organize, plan, and conduct training and continuing education events while representing the company at both regional and national gatherings.
• Establish and expand networks among hospitals, office-based physicians, and other vital stakeholders in patient care.
• Gather market intelligence and customer insights; assess the customer's position within the sales cycle.
• Maintain proactive communication with the Regional Manager.
• Ensure professional reporting through timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks.
• Collaborate efficiently within the in-field team and across various functions.
• Foster open communication and a continuous exchange of ideas and experiences.
• Actively and consistently advocate for customer needs.
• Share accountability for achieving regional targets.
• Adhere to all relevant role requirements and legal/regulatory obligations, including ethics, compliance procedures, and the “Code of Business Conduct.”
• A university degree in a natural science discipline, training as a pharmaceutical representative, or necessary technical knowledge in accordance with § 75 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz).
• Fundamental understanding of GxP.
• Experience in an in-field team setting and responsible interdisciplinary project leadership within a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of the therapy area.
• Several years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical sector with demonstrable above-average sales performance is preferred, ideally within the therapy area.
• Capability to present complex scientific information tailored to the audience and engage in discussions with various customer groups.
• Excellent persuasive skills, a presentation- and closing-oriented personality, and exceptional communication abilities (Challenger methodology).
• High adaptability to shifting market conditions and an innovative approach to aligning work methods accordingly.
• Strong motivation and energy to pursue and achieve objectives.
• Excellent performance management skills to continuously enhance sales target achievement.
• Proficient in digital tools and adept at using field force applications (Veeva CRM and CLM, XPM, WebEx, etc.) along with MS Office.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with creativity.
