Field Sales Consultant, Home Services, Interiors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell The Home Depot's range of interior and exterior products and services to customers.

• Visit customers at their residences to conduct sales consultations and evaluate their needs.

• Provide personalized product suggestions and create customized price quotes through negotiation.

• Share warranty details and financing alternatives with customers.

• Finalize sales agreements and complete necessary documentation.

• Utilize industry-standard techniques to take measurements that align with installation requirements.

• Actively seek out and acquire new customers within assigned The Home Depot locations and at industry events.

• Travel to designated stores, foster local relationships, inform store associates about HDIS offerings, and enhance awareness of HDIS initiatives.

• Seek referrals and build relationships with store management and staff.

• Participate in sales and store team meetings to refine sales strategies and gain insights into HDIS products.

• Report directly to the Sales Manager; this position does not include direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A high school diploma and/or GED is generally required for this position.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is necessary.

• Previous in-home or virtual sales experience is preferred.

• Experience in the home improvement industry is advantageous.

• A successful background in lead generation is preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications, including email, iPads, and related apps.

• Must be able to stand or walk continuously and regularly lift, handle, or carry equipment weighing between 8–20 pounds.

• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 5% of the time is required.

• Previous leadership experience is not necessary.

• Certifications: None required.
