
Field Representative – Insurance Inspections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Arrange and conduct on-site evaluations while completing relevant reports for our clients to assess risk. Recognize various business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety protocols, and formulate recommendations related to safety and loss prevention.
• Represent Verisk and our clients with professionalism through phone communications, in-person interactions, and written correspondence.
• Uphold our commitment to data quality by utilizing your attention to detail and communication abilities to produce accurate and client-focused reports.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; preferred areas of study or experience may include Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, and Safety. Relevant experience may encompass insurance loss control, underwriting, or claims; commercial building construction, compliance, or other property inspections; and fire safety and industrial safety roles.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create concise and informative reports that meet quality standards.
• High proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, the MS Office suite, and mobile applications. A solid understanding of functional math for calculating square footage, perimeters, and percentages.
• Self-driven planning and goal-setting capabilities, leading to effective and consistent work practices. You can efficiently plan, schedule, document, and conduct site visits to maximize time efficiency, all with minimal supervision.
• Ability to record and observe specific details and measurements, collect data, navigate, and travel to various sites. The role requires working in diverse environments and weather conditions; tasks may involve walking, standing, climbing stairs, and driving for extended periods to complete assignments; occasional ladder use may be necessary.
• Professional certifications such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, and/or CPCU are advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in line with company policies. Overnight travel (both in-state and out-of-state) may be required based on business needs. Capability to absorb, learn, and implement training materials through virtual or in-person classroom settings, recorded media, and on-the-job field mentorship. A distraction-free remote work environment with access to a high-speed internet connection is necessary. The primary residence should be located near the designated city or territory. This is a remote position that requires onsite property visits within a specified geographic area.
