This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Act as a knowledgeable authority on reimbursement, access, and coverage matters.
• Provide education to healthcare providers and their teams regarding intricate insurance and reimbursement systems.
• Address access challenges for patients seeking specialty medications.
• Serve as a link among providers, manufacturers, pharmacies, and payers.
• Offer insights into reimbursement and access factors specific to specialty medications.
• Execute field-based reimbursement and access assistance, education, and consultation for key account customers and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct engaging educational sessions at various provider locations.
• Investigate to comprehend office workflows and tackle access or reimbursement challenges.
• A High School Diploma/GED is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in practice management is desirable.
• Prior experience as a Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist is preferred.
• Previous involvement in healthcare with a focus on resolving pharmacy benefit access issues is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of pharmacy benefit reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, and specialty pharmacies is required.
• Candidates must be willing to obtain a Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) certification within the first six months of employment.
