Field Reimbursement Manager, Immunology, Gastroenterology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• This position is field-based, and candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

• The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as a specialized in-office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within a specific geographic area.

• The FRM interacts directly with HCP offices to resolve patient access and reimbursement questions related to AbbVie’s immunology product line.

• This role provides expertise on coverage, reimbursement challenges, and the use of AbbVie’s support tools, while also educating on patient prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.

• Train HCPs, including bio coordinators and/or office staff, on AbbVie patient support programs, encompassing access and reimbursement tools and services.

• Inform about product acquisition methods such as specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white, brown, and clear bagging.

• Offer resources and strategies to tackle patient access challenges.

• Provide localized insights on national and regional payer policies, utilization management criteria, including updates on medical billing, coding, and medical benefit claims submission procedures.

• Collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to communicate prescription status and program eligibility updates.

• Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access account teams.

• Build and sustain professional relationships with providers in the designated territory.

• Keep abreast of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in immunology or access and reimbursement with a focus on market access and payer account management.

• Proven expertise in drug acquisition and dispensing in specialty biologics, with immunology experience being advantageous (Buy and Bill, reimbursement analysis, Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors).

• Exceptional skills in territory and strategic account management, including process mastery, customer engagement, strategic thinking, collaboration, and understanding market dynamics.

• A demonstrated leadership track record in the current role.

• Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.

• Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• In-depth understanding and capability to convey technical aspects of coding and billing requirements at both the National and Regional levels across all care settings, including Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D or Medicare and the associated reimbursement dynamics.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations, and risks connected with the provision of reimbursement support services.

• Ability to rapidly establish relationships and collaborate with internal/external key stakeholders and lead without formal authority.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving requirements.
