This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) about patient support programs, including tools and services for access and reimbursement assistance.
• Inform about product-specific acquisition and access alternatives such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution channels.
• Educate on available resources to resolve access-related challenges.
• Offer local expertise on national and regional payer policies to inform providers about payer-related issues, coding modifications, and correct claims submission procedures.
• Collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to keep HCPs updated on prescription status and program eligibility.
• Work alongside AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to communicate updates regarding prescription status and program eligibility.
• Provide feedback on payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and nurture relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay informed about key activities related to managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, along with relevant and equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a specific therapeutic area, with a background in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• Significant experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage requirements, and other access-related scenarios for specialty medications.
• Proven leadership skills demonstrated in the current role.
• Strong comprehension and ability to articulate technical aspects of coding and billing requirements at both National and Regional levels across various care settings.
• In-depth understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Solid knowledge of drug acquisition and dispensing within the specific therapeutic area, including Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and white-bagging practices.
• Demonstrated awareness of the rules, regulations, and risks involved in providing reimbursement support services.
• Strong grasp of access and reimbursement support service centers and the ability to interact effectively in a compliant manner.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving qualifications.
