This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +7 more states.
• Act as the primary on-site lead for education, support, and resolution of issues related to CAR-T reimbursement.
• Allocate up to 75% of your time potentially working directly with customers to assess educational needs and enhance stakeholder collaboration.
• Provide training to office personnel on access and payer approval processes, access challenges, and actions that facilitate therapy availability.
• Oversee, evaluate, and manage situations that could negatively affect patient access to therapy.
• Collaborate with Market Access, sales, medical, and other internal teams to identify and address patient-access challenges.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicare treatment guidelines, Medicaid Managed Care, commercial plans, policy updates, formulary status, and the effects of healthcare reforms on coverage.
• Maintain and disseminate information regarding account contacts, prior authorization requirements, trends, and competitive insights to the Market Access Department.
• Train Customer Care Area colleagues on Market Access, reimbursement, medical coverage policies, and medical benefit design.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete necessary training.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of five years of pertinent experience, including three years in specialty disease states.
• Candidates must reside within the designated geographic area; those from other states may be considered.
• In-depth technical knowledge of payer policies and reimbursement processes, including coding, coverage, and payment.
• Extensive experience in revenue cycle management, buy-and-bill, formulary, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Proximity to a major airport is required.
• A valid Driver's License issued in the United States is necessary.
• An advanced degree or clinical license is preferred.
• Two years of reimbursement or relevant managed care experience is preferred.
• Experience in multiple myeloma or related oncology areas is preferred.
• Familiarity with payer approval processes and strong business acumen is essential.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities are required.
• Understanding of national and state legislation, Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, native iOS applications, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on follow-through.
• Preferred experience in field-based reimbursement and oncology.
• Capability to develop and implement educational plans.
• Proven ability to conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and consultation.
• Dedication to learning and utilizing emerging technologies, such as AI.
• Ability to secure and maintain access to a national airport.
