This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access to the company's products and therapies. This involves identifying access obstacles and suggesting solutions for healthcare provider offices and institutions.
• Act as an in-house authority on authorization processes and requirements, working alongside internal teams to tackle intricate access challenges.
• Ensure all access and reimbursement activities comply with healthcare regulations and legal requirements, including industry standards.
• Partner with healthcare provider offices, pharmacies, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve access issues, negotiate contracts when necessary, and optimize patient access pathways.
• Assess, select, onboard, and manage institutional pharmacies to guarantee optimal access for suitable patients.
• Leverage data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of access and reimbursement processes, pinpointing areas for enhancement and executing necessary modifications.
• Oversee and improve patient support programs, including financial assistance initiatives, to assist patients in accessing and adhering to their treatment.
• Remain informed about changes in healthcare policy, market conditions, and healthcare trends that may affect reimbursement and access, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business, etc.). A Master's degree or equivalent is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma.
• Experience in cardiology, oncology, or rare diseases is preferred.
• Ability to operate independently as well as within a team setting.
• Background in market access, patient access, or patient services.
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
