Field Quality Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections of piping and hose bolt-up tasks to ensure correct assembly, proper torquing, and leak prevention measures are in place.

• Ensure all mechanical activities adhere to relevant codes, standards, and client specifications, including ASME and API.

• Keep precise and comprehensive records of inspections, tests, and any corrective measures taken.

• Create, maintain, and distribute Quality Control packages.

• Supervise the use and calibration of torque wrenches and other bolt-up tools.

• Carry out pre-job walkdowns, observe pressure tests, and confirm joint integrity prior to system handover.

• Assist mechanical teams by identifying non-conformities, offering corrective recommendations, and escalating significant issues to supervisory staff.

• Collaborate with site supervision, planners, and engineers to swiftly address quality concerns.

• Ensure all quality-related documentation is completed and submitted promptly.

• Engage in toolbox talks, quality reviews, and turnover discussions with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Three years of documented experience in Turnaround, Shutdown, or Industrial maintenance settings.

• Proficient understanding of piping systems, flanged joints, bolting, and hose connections.

• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and ANSI.

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and QA/QC processes.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with site-specific safety protocols.

• Valid driver's license.

• Preferred certifications include ASNT, API, CWI, or equivalent in mechanical inspection or quality control.

• Preferred training or certification in bolting and joint integrity (e.g., ECITB, ASME PCC-1).

• Experience with flange management software or electronic Quality Control documentation systems is preferred.
