
Field Performance Manager – Off-Premise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• This role involves overseeing a team of 5-10 customer-oriented Channel Developers.
• Evaluate and report on field operations while driving performance towards commercial objectives.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor the local Developer team, offering guidance and career advancement.
• Strategically plan, monitor, and pursue commercial prospects for the team utilizing performance data.
• Maintain consistent communication with the client/distributor network to synchronize on commercial initiatives.
• Oversee the financial responsibilities of the local unit, which includes account management and travel & expense planning.
• Lead significant initiatives for the assigned team, including training in Category knowledge and business skills, Point of Sale Management, Programming implementation, and curation of Brand, market, competitive, and customer insights, as well as local reporting efforts.
• Identify market opportunities to leverage resources and partnerships for the client's brand portfolio.
• Travel within the designated territory to engage in one-on-one sessions with direct reports to understand their individual successes and challenges.
• Promote team achievements and foster support for local initiatives across the agency and with local client and distributor partners.
• A college degree (4-year) or B.A./B.S. equivalent with a focus on Communications, Marketing, or Business is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the beverage-alcohol industry is required.
• 2-3 years of people management experience is preferred.
• Experience with distributors or brokers is a plus.
• Proven track record of strong customer relationship management.
• Robust budget management skills are essential.
• Familiarity with liquor laws, regulations, and guidelines is important.
• A deep understanding of market trends and competitive activities is an asset.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Persuasive selling and negotiation skills are necessary to cultivate and sustain strong relationships.
• Ability to work remotely is essential.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel as needed, including nights and weekends, is required.
• Must have access to reliable transportation for travel to and from accounts.
• A desire to lead, mentor, and develop a team is crucial.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to manage administrative responsibilities while adhering to agency compliance guidelines and standards.
