Field Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Manage the maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm facilities.

• Diagnose hardware problems and promptly communicate findings to the relevant team.

• Assist with farm deployments, troubleshoot issues, and support installation processes.

• Offer field insights to product and engineering teams to enhance solutions for Australian cattle producers.

• Participate in the global on-call roster for incidents related to tower operations.

• Gather, interpret, and analyze hardware data to improve processes and operational efficiency.

• Proactively identify potential issues before they escalate into problems.

• Aid in the development and management of a maintenance system tailored for the Australian market.

• Collaborate with various Halter teams to achieve outstanding customer outcomes.

• Travel frequently to farms across Australia, typically 3–4 days a week, which may include overnight stays.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary for Halter’s success in Australia.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment installation is essential.

• A proactive, ownership-driven, and ambitious attitude is required.

• Ability to convert field observations into clear, actionable feedback for remote product and engineering teams.

• Strong time management skills and the capability to work independently.

• Ability to collaborate across different locations and time zones.

• Comfort working in an early-stage, uncertain market-entry context.

• Dedication to providing excellent service and maintaining infrastructure.

• Willingness to travel frequently and occasionally on short notice across the region.

• Possession of a full, clean driver's license.

• Eligibility to work in Australia: Australian citizenship, Australian citizenship or New Zealand permanent residency, valid Australian work permit, or disclosure of sponsorship requirements.
