Field Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Supervise the maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm infrastructure.

• Identify hardware problems and promptly communicate details to the relevant team.

• Assist with Halter deployments on farms, including troubleshooting and installation tasks.

• Offer field insights to product and engineering teams to guide solutions for Australian cattle producers.

• Engage in the global on-call schedule for tower-related incidents and take proactive steps to resolve issues.

• Gather, interpret, and analyze hardware data to enhance processes, boost operational efficiency, and detect issues early.

• Aid in the development and management of a maintenance system tailored for the Australian market.

• Work collaboratively with various teams at Halter to achieve optimal customer outcomes.

• Travel frequently to visit producers across Australia, usually 3–4 days per week, including some overnight stays.

• Assume additional responsibilities as required to support Halter’s success in Australia.

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment installation is essential.

• A proactive and ownership-driven mindset with the ability to troubleshoot on the fly.

• Capability to convert field observations into clear, actionable insights for remote product and engineering teams.

• Strong time-management abilities and the capacity to independently complete tasks on schedule.

• Proficient in collaborating with individuals across various locations and time zones.

• Comfortable with uncertainty in an early-stage market-entry setting.

• Dedication to providing exceptional service and upholding infrastructure to a high standard.

• Readiness to travel frequently and sometimes on short notice within the region.

• Eligibility to work in Australia.

• Possession of a full, clean driver's license.
