Field Medical Director, Radiology – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the reviewer for Physician match in Imaging cases.

• Engages in discussions regarding determinations (peer-to-peer phone calls) with requesting physicians or ordering providers.

• Applies medical and clinical review guidelines and standards.

• Ensures that all communications with medical office staff and/or MD providers are documented.

• May support the Senior Medical Director in research activities or inquiries related to the Utilization Management process.

• Participates in continuous training as part of the inter-rater reliability process.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS degree.

• At least five (5) years of experience in the practice of Medicine following residency, with active clinical practice within the last 2 years preferred.

• Possession of a current, unrestricted clinical home state license in medicine or the relevant specialty.

• Active Board Certification from an accredited organization.

• Strong skills in clinical practice, management, communication, and organization.

• Energetic and inquisitive, with a strong commitment to quality and value in healthcare.

• Proficient in computer use.

• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid.

• No prior history of significant disciplinary or legal action by a state medical board.
