This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Represent West Fraser wood products within the new home, multi-family, and commercial construction markets for a designated territory.
• Act as a technical resource and product ambassador in the area.
• Build, manage, and sustain customer relationships through exceptional service and diligent follow-up.
• Understand and support the business models of customers.
• Aid in the design and execution of regional marketing initiatives in collaboration with pro-dealers, retail accounts, and builders.
• Advocate for both new and existing products to contractor yards and builders.
• Enhance product and program knowledge to assist customers and internal teams effectively.
• Forge and nurture connections with pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, and industrial clients.
• Deliver responsive service and proactive follow-up.
• Function as a knowledgeable field representative and resource for customers.
• Collaborate with inside sales, sales management, and marketing teams to meet revenue goals.
• Work alongside the outside marketing team and support staff to synchronize territory activities.
• Contribute to territory planning discussions and sales and marketing strategies.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in marketing, sales, construction, or building products.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a related role encompassing home construction, building materials, sales, or marketing.
• Familiarity with construction and building materials.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Capability to collect, summarize, and report observations regarding product usage, trends, and competitive activity within the assigned area.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
• Strong technical aptitude coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Accreditation in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Science.
• Understanding of structural wood products.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Must be willing to work throughout the assigned territory.
• Openness to travel, with travel requirements estimated at less than 60%.
