This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.
• The Field Manager will serve as the operational foundation for data collection across Nigeria's four project states.
• Collaborating closely with IDinsight's project Associate and Manager, and integrated within the survey partner's field structure, the Field Manager will guarantee that surveys are conducted according to IDinsight's quality standards: timely, within scope, and maintaining rigorous data integrity.
• This role is demanding and requires considerable multi-state travel, excellent people management skills, and the capability to navigate complex field conditions.
• The Field Manager will receive comprehensive training in IDinsight's research best practices.
• Following the training, their responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to: Research Preparation and Study Start-Up, Enumerator Training, Data Collection Management, Survey Supervision and Data Quality Assurance, and Data Processing Support.
• A bachelor’s degree in a scientific or social science discipline.
• A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in field data collection, survey operations, or research program coordination within the development sector in Nigeria.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Hausa is highly preferred due to field operations in Northern Nigeria (Borno, FCT, Kogi).
• Proficiency in using Google Spreadsheets and digital data collection platforms (e.g., SurveyCTO, ODK, or similar CAPI tools).
• Strong project management and logistics capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
• Willingness and capability to work in challenging and uncertain environments, including rural areas of Nigeria.
• Confidence and readiness to collaborate with both Nigerians and foreigners, including the ability to provide and accept direct feedback.
• Competence in coaching and managing enumerators.
• Ability to work independently under time constraints while maintaining close communication with a remote project team.
• Openness and ability to travel extensively across project states for prolonged periods during active survey waves.
