Field Engineer – Emergency Call Handling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Configures systems for all designated ECH solutions, which encompass hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.

• Conducts site verification testing before transitioning a site into a production environment.

• Sets up and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted application settings.

• Offers support to Customers and Channel Partners during the deployment of the ECH solution into a live production environment.

• Records all modifications to the solution, including cloud tenant settings and API integrations, that may take place during the project's implementation phase.

• Guarantees the timely and efficient resolution of installation and quality issues.

• Engages in the creation and endorsement of Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and system upgrades.

• Takes part in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as necessary.

• Maintains expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology.

• More than 3 years of experience in the deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.

• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and Deployment Models (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud environments).

• Experience in troubleshooting cloud-based applications, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).

• Relevant Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are advantageous.

• CompTIA Network+ AND Security+ certifications.

• Experience in installation, administration, and troubleshooting of: Server Virtualization, particularly with VMWare ESXi v.6+ and/or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+.

• Proficiency with Database Servers, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2\2012\2016.

• Knowledge of Server Operating Systems, especially Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2.

• Familiarity with Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 7 & 10.

• Understanding of Linux.

• Experience with Network Switches, preferably with Cisco IOS.

• Basic understanding of Firewalls and Routers, ideally with Fortinet FortiGate.

• Knowledge of Server and Workstation hardware.

• Previous experience in the deployment and integration of Public Safety Applications, as well as operations and administration, is preferred.
