Field CTO – Sr. Director of Networking Thought Leadership

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic direction and thought leadership throughout the comprehensive HPE networking portfolio, collaborating with sales, product management, engineering, and external partners.

• Create and curate technical positions specific to the industry, encompassing white papers, presentations, patents, and market positioning strategies.

• Spearhead extensive, sponsored initiatives to showcase HPE’s technological competencies in alignment with customer requirements.

• Present keynote addresses and industry presentations on a global scale, customized for executive audiences, industry analysts, and technical experts.

• Keep a thorough understanding of existing and emerging networking technologies, standards, and industry trends.

• Work closely with internal teams to impact product development, strategic roadmaps, and innovation initiatives.

• Act as a mentor and role model within the technical community, engaging with external industry forums and groups.

• Provide counsel to executive leadership on technology strategies, industry developments, and market prospects.

• Facilitate inbound thought leadership efforts by gathering industry insights and customer feedback to guide product and strategy advancements.

• The role will necessitate a minimum of 50% travel to customer sites, company functions, or industry events worldwide.

• Over 15 years of experience in networking technology, product development, or related fields, demonstrating a successful history of innovation.

• Proficiency in networking standards, emerging technologies, and industry sectors such as enterprise, telecom, and data centers.

• Outstanding communication abilities, capable of conveying intricate technical ideas to varied audiences, including executives.

• Established experience in public speaking engagements.

• Proven ability to lead in shaping technology strategies, influencing product design, and mentoring teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
