Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to enterprise clients on how to integrate and operationalize AI to achieve quantifiable business results.

• Facilitate executive workshops and discovery sessions focused on AI strategy, intelligent automation, developer productivity, modernization, and digital transformation.

• Assist organizations in pinpointing high-value AI opportunities across customer experience, operations, software delivery, and internal platforms.

• Develop transformation roadmaps that merge AI, cloud, data, and modern engineering practices into actionable execution strategies.

• Support customers in navigating the organizational, operational, and technological changes needed to become AI-enabled enterprises.

• Establish trusted advisor relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and senior business stakeholders.

• Drive strategic discussions around innovation, modernization, operating models, and the adoption of emerging technologies.

• Convert complex business and technological challenges into actionable transformation programs and investment priorities.

• Help clients articulate measurable business outcomes, success metrics, and value frameworks for their strategic initiatives.

• Design complex solution strategies that encompass AI-enabled products, intelligent platforms, cloud modernization, and digital experiences.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and delivery teams to create differentiated, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.

• Implement experience-led modernization strategies that enhance agility, resilience, speed to market, and customer outcomes.

• Ensure solution strategies are aligned with modern engineering principles, platform thinking, and scalable delivery models.

• Foster the growth of strategic customer accounts through trusted advisory and value-driven engagement.

• Shape strategic pursuits, proposals, and large-scale opportunities in the areas of AI, modernization, and digital transformation.

• Create compelling business cases and outcome narratives that effectively communicate ROI, operational impact, and strategic value.

• Collaborate with Client Principals and delivery leaders to discover expansion opportunities and long-term growth strategies.

• Keep abreast of developments in AI, cloud, developer tooling, platform engineering, and enterprise technology trends.

• Contribute to Nearform’s market propositions, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership in AI and modern engineering.

• Assist in shaping new offerings and go-to-market strategies based on the evolving needs of enterprise customers.

• Represent Nearform externally through workshops, events, industry discussions, and strategic customer partnerships.

• Extensive experience in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise technology services.

• Proven capability to engage and influence senior technology and business leaders.

• Experience in shaping strategic transformation initiatives and managing complex service engagements.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link technology strategy to business value.

• Comfortable functioning in dynamic, ambiguous, and high-growth environments.

• Solid understanding of the practical application of AI in enterprise settings.

• Experience assisting organizations in adopting AI, automation, or intelligent platform capabilities to enhance business or engineering results.

• Profound understanding of modern software engineering and enterprise technology transformation.

• Strong background in software engineering, architecture, or technical delivery, ideally starting your career as an engineer or developer.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise organizations across sectors such as retail, financial services, healthcare, public sector, or technology.

• Awareness of the operational, regulatory, and technical complexities in large organizations.
