Field CTO – Analytics, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete technical journey on qualified Analytics and AI opportunities, starting from the initial architecture discussion to achieving technical success.

• Spearhead the technical aspects of AI and GenAI applications on Postgres vector search, retrieval, RAG, and agentic workloads.

• Conduct proofs of concept, benchmarks, and sizing, which includes service scoping and intricate migrations.

• Create reference architectures and articulate EDB's technical differentiation effectively and confidently in competitive scenarios.

• Engage at the enterprise and CxO level, providing executive advisory, thought leadership, and board-level positioning on strategic accounts.

• Document every deal process into playbooks, reference architectures, and demos so that any SE in the regional organization can identify and highlight the next opportunity.

• Co-host the weekly Analytics & AI Open Hours, providing real-time enablement, market intelligence, and field coaching to sales representatives and SEs.

• Ensure feedback is looped back to Product and Engineering, transforming deal challenges into roadmap signals through the weekly win/loss feedback cycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of extensive hands-on experience with Postgres and data platforms, focusing on analytical and OLAP workloads, data warehousing, and operational data systems.

• Genuine, up-to-date experience in designing AI and GenAI solutions on data platforms, including vector search, embeddings, retrieval and RAG, and emerging agentic patterns.

• Demonstrated capability to manage POCs, benchmarks, sizing, and complex migrations from start to finish, along with designing trustworthy reference architectures for customers.
