This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Interpret and shape the strategic vision into precise technical guidance
• Oversee workstreams comprehensively across various teams, leading cross-team initiatives
• Define the software engineering roadmap
• Drive architectural choices with an emphasis on security, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in product threat analysis
• Provide mentorship to colleagues and team members
• Lead design discussions, brownbags, and technical demonstrations
• Maintain an engaged presence within the codebase
• Create technical prototypes and personally handle high-risk components
• Write clean, production-ready code
• Identify, prioritize, and address risks in production environments
• Design and implement monitoring solutions to enhance system visibility
• Conduct effective postmortems and ensure dependable on-call support
• Establish and nurture collaborative relationships across functions
• Define the scope of intricate work, communicate delivery trade-offs, and negotiate with partners to align outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field with over 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with more than 6 years of relevant experience, or PhD with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including writing, testing, and deploying production-grade code
• Familiarity with enterprise IAM standards such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
• Practical implementation of IAM standards applying secure coding principles, application security, and threat modeling
• Experience with at least one backend programming language, such as Go, Java, or Python
• Capability to contribute to complex, multi-service codebases
• Experience in designing, building, and delivering highly scalable, secure, distributed systems
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving low-level system bottlenecks, memory leaks, and intricate concurrency problems
• Familiarity with Claude and other generative AI technologies
• Expertise in identity governance frameworks and secure lifecycle management for both human and non-human identities
• Ability to quickly prototype Proofs of Concept for complex integrations
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and container orchestration platforms
• Understanding of relational and non-relational database systems
• Knowledge of asynchronous messaging, queuing, or event-streaming architectures
• Experience with observability, distributed tracing, and diagnostic frameworks
• Active engagement in the broader professional community through technical blogs, publications, or external presentations
