Field Clinical Specialist – Shockwave

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Provide case assistance to physicians in designated territories.

• Offer case support during peripheral and coronary interventional procedures throughout the pre-market and post-market stages of product development utilizing Shockwave Medical Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology.

• Play a vital role in clinical studies by delivering device training, offering case support, and ensuring prompt data collection for clinical programs.

• Manage relationships with key study investigators; cultivate and maintain strong connections through direct engagement with medical advisors and clinical leaders.

• Collaborate with fellow clinical research colleagues to address business needs in the field, including site re-training, data collection for timely database locks, and resolution of critical issues.

• Conduct administrative tasks such as training on procedures, managing territory travel, and overseeing budgets.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, nursing, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of experience directly supporting interventional or surgical procedures within a hospital environment, or 1 year of industry or hospital-based life sciences sales support experience.

• Prior experience in the cardiovascular industry is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials.

• A proven track record of effective collaboration with regulatory agencies through clinical studies and market launches.

• In-depth product knowledge, including product vigilance and medical device reporting.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office products, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

• Understanding of finance and budgeting principles.

• Good prioritization and organizational abilities.

• Excellent critical thinking capabilities.
