This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Tailor program components to accommodate the needs of assigned prescribing physicians.
• Evaluate patient status and assist the prescribing physician with the completion of patient enrollment.
• Prepare payer documentation to access public or private insurance coverage by reviewing patient charts and documenting previous therapies and tests.
• Identify barriers to securing coverage and relay this information to the Program Manager.
• Foster strong working relationships with physicians and their office staff.
• Proactively offer support to resolve issues related to assigned physicians.
• Deliver training to physicians and clinics on the program and new initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison and provide continuous feedback to the Program Manager.
• Complete all necessary reports according to specified timelines and required standards.
• Welcome each patient to the program and collect essential patient information.
• Provide reimbursement payer guidelines to both patients and physicians.
• Ensure that patient services are coordinated and monitored in accordance with KPI’s.
• Confirm the outcome of reimbursement navigation with the patient.
• Assist patients in selecting pharmacies and coordinating drug delivery.
• Report Adverse Events / Severe Adverse Events in line with program Standard Operating Procedures.
• Aid in the training and development of new FCM as required.
• Support and assist colleagues through regular and ongoing communication.
• Participate in scheduled physician meetings with the Pharmaceutical team.
• Attend scheduled Continuous Medical Education events.
• Complete all relevant reports (timesheets, expenses, mileage reports, etc.) in accordance with specified timelines and required standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, or a nursing diploma.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance, or a related field.
• Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) with active registration from the College of Nurses in the province of employment.
• Case management experience is preferred; at least three (3) years of nursing experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
• Must be available to travel within an assigned territory, with some overnight travel potentially required.
• Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation for regional travel.
• Experience and knowledge in various therapeutic areas is a plus.
• Background in business administration, particularly sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical sector, is beneficial.
• Understanding of private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes.
• Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals processes, and providing field-based reimbursement support and consultation.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Fluency in French and/or English may be necessary depending on the program and geographical location.
