Field Camp Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel to Punta Arenas, Chile for two 3-week assignments each year.

• Organize, prepare, and pack gear for expeditions.

• Assist with the movement of cargo, including packaging and labeling.

• Maintain and repair camping and mountaineering equipment.

• Aid in guiding, training, and collaborating with scientists on safe field practices.

• Lead the complete setup and takedown of the camp.

• Support daily camp tasks to ensure a secure environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of two years of experience in expedition outfitting in polar climates.

• Knowledge of maintaining and working with field camp gear.

• Experience with maritime activities such as working on or from ships, sea kayaking, or sailing.

• Basic navigational skills and proficiency in operating a GPS.

• Wilderness First Responder Certification is essential.
