This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers and partners, creating comprehensive end-to-end architectures.
• Develop solutions encompassing the entire data stack, which includes ingestion, CDC, batch and streaming pipelines, processing, lakehouse storage and formats, catalogs, query and analytics engines, orchestration, data quality, governance, and AI integration.
• Establish and validate architectures for AI/ML training and inference, analytics, lakehouse environments, high-performance data pipelines, and modern application data services.
• Provide expert knowledge in AIStor, object storage, S3-compatible architectures, distributed systems, replication, erasure coding, security, performance optimization, and extensive namespace design.
• Foster trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders, guiding key architectural decisions.
• Plan and execute customer PoCs from initiation through to final technical evaluation, covering deployment, integration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and production preparation.
• Assist customers in transitioning from PoC to production and promoting wider adoption.
• Offer technical leadership on Kubernetes, containers, automation, and deployment strategies across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Integrate various data sources, ingestion and streaming tools, processing and analytics engines, AI platforms, identity systems, observability tools, and infrastructure elements.
• Present architecture proposals, facilitate whiteboard sessions, conduct demonstrations, lead workshops, and provide technical enablement.
• Lead or contribute to RFP, RFI, and technical submissions.
• Gather customer requirements, collect feedback, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address gaps and refine priorities.
• Keep abreast of developments in object storage, data lakehouse, AI infrastructure, analytics, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and competing data platforms.
• Over 10 years of experience in a senior customer-facing technical position such as Field Architect, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
• Practical experience in designing, integrating, and troubleshooting comprehensive data platforms, including ingestion, CDC, batch and streaming processing, lakehouse architecture, catalogs, query engines, orchestration, data quality, governance, and AI/analytics workloads.
• Proven track record of leading customer PoCs, including establishing success criteria, deploying and integrating components, validating functionality and performance, resolving technical challenges, and presenting results.
• Strong understanding of object storage and S3-compatible architectures, focusing on security, replication, data protection, performance, and scale-out design.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, storage systems, containers, Kubernetes, and contemporary data center infrastructure.
• Relevant experience with data stack technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, NiFi, Spark, Flink, Trino, Starburst, Iceberg, Delta Lake, or data catalogs; familiarity with all listed technologies is not required.
• Background in designing or supporting AI, machine learning, analytics, lakehouse, or large-scale data pipeline environments.
• Experience with public and hybrid cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or private cloud solutions.
• Capability to lead technical discovery, design architectures, create demonstrations, analyze performance, troubleshoot integrations, and articulate trade-offs clearly.
• Excellent verbal, written, whiteboarding, and presentation skills tailored for technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Engineering teams.
• Strong focus on customer success, intellectual curiosity, sense of ownership, and ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customers, partners, field events, and internal team activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be taken into account.
