Field Applications Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Facilitate customer training sessions both on-site and in-house.

• Offer support to customers via phone, email, and in-person, addressing issues related to technical skills, instrument functionality, experimental design, and data interpretation.

• Aid in the development and assessment of technical documents, including manuals, application notes, and presentations.

• Deliver technical sales assistance by organizing application-focused seminars and product demonstrations.

• Oversee proof-of-concept experiments for prospective clients assessing or drafting grant proposals for the acquisition of the CyTOF®.

• Execute evaluations and testing of new products in collaboration with R&D and beta testing locations.

• Provide valuable feedback to the R&D team from both personal and customer perspectives.

• Develop and maintain support documentation within the company’s enterprise database.

• Relay project updates and challenges to management, users, and team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in life sciences is mandatory.

• 3-5 years of practical experience in a biochemistry or cell biology laboratory is essential.

• Previous experience in field application support is preferred.

• Proficient in troubleshooting issues with software, instrumentation, applications, and analyzing flow cytometry and/or mass cytometry systems.

• Advanced bioinformatics skills are highly advantageous.

• Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, along with strong organizational capabilities and technical writing skills.

• Willingness to travel at least 60% of the time.

• Excellent communication skills and experience in delivering scientific presentations.
