This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Devote a significant amount of your time engaging with customers to influence their choice of components.
• Utilize your advanced understanding of customer needs along with technical leadership abilities to advocate for return on engineering investment.
• Build and nurture relationships with suppliers and customers to manage expectations, keeping stakeholders informed about activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives.
• Identify critical relationships among decision-makers within both suppliers and customers.
• Expand your account portfolio on a quarterly basis.
• Drive demand creation by optimizing the use of Arrow content in designs.
• Understand customer requirements and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services to provide tailored solutions.
• Use your technical expertise to influence designs through solution selling, resources, and strategic approaches.
• Identify solutions and resolutions for customer design needs and challenges.
• Monitor your performance metrics throughout the quarter and take corrective actions as needed to ensure you meet or exceed them.
• Conduct technical seminars and workshops related to your supplier lines.
• Provide regular updates to the field sales team and serve as a motivating force around your supplier lines.
• Collaborate with the sales team on pre-and post-sales activities, offering technical support and consulting to stimulate demand creation.
• Engage in technical calibrations and research with sales, other Arrow departments, and suppliers in support of customer design efforts.
• Advocate for return on engineering investment, design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions by securing support from sales.
• Participate actively in strategic branch meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
• Develop and implement strategic technical plans focusing on supplier lines or customer solutions.
• Get involved in ArrowEDGE initiatives through branch training and customer calls.
• Organize engineering events for customers.
• Meet with suppliers to review recent customer design activities and identify effective solutions to promote to those customers.
• Attend supplier training sessions both in person and via conference calls.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience and thorough knowledge of system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components is required.
• A broad understanding of electronic components is necessary.
• Experience in design engineering is essential.
• Ability to solve complex problems; able to adopt a new perspective using existing solutions.
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.
• Act as a resource for colleagues who are less experienced.
• Stay informed about supplier products and Arrow design services to function as a technical-marketing advisor to customers.
• Generally requires a 4-year degree (preferably in engineering) and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree without prior experience.
