Field Application Scientist – Düsseldorf/Frankfurt

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide customer training, technical presentations, and application support to ensure effective usage of SCIENION technologies following installation.

• Serve as the main scientific point of contact for application inquiries, troubleshooting, workflow enhancement, and field issue resolution.

• Assist customers and internal teams by creating technical documentation, training resources, and keeping precise records of support activities.

• Work closely with service, support, development, and commercial teams to relay customer feedback and improve the customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, biotechnology, microfluidics, materials science, analytical chemistry, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience with single-cell processing, NGS, mass spectrometry, medical diagnostics, or biosensor development is highly preferred.

• Excellent scientific communication and training abilities, with the capacity to convey complex applications to varied customer audiences.

• An independent, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude with a readiness to travel frequently and assist customers in various countries.

• Background in a customer-facing scientific position such as applications support, field support, technical service, or customer training.

• Capability to confidently engage with topics across biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional European languages is a significant advantage.

• A strong sense of commercial awareness and business understanding, while maintaining a focus on post-sales support and customer success.
