Field Agent Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Carry out regular inspections of breeders, kennels, and pet stores listed on the annual Inspection Candidate List to ensure adherence to AKC rules and regulations.

• Execute complaint-driven inspections as directed by management.

• Create precise, comprehensive, and prompt written reports detailing inspection results and recommendations.

• Gather DNA samples following established protocols and submit them to AKC offices for processing.

• Provide testimony during Trial Board Hearings as necessary.

• Handle and communicate complex, sensitive, and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Interpret and enforce AKC policies, procedures, and regulations throughout inspections and investigations.

• Utilize independent judgment while working autonomously within broad organizational guidelines and established policies.

• Protect and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, equipment, and other organizational assets.

• Organize inspection schedules, documentation, and follow-up activities within designated territories.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in inspection, investigative, compliance, or research roles.

• Prior experience with purebred dogs is essential.

• Extensive knowledge of AKC rules, regulations, programs, and/or a robust background in the sport of purebred dogs.

• Comprehensive understanding of AKC inspection processes and DNA sampling protocols.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, along with email and internet-based research tools.

• Ability to produce clear, concise, and professional written reports.

• Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.

• High level of maturity, emotional stability, sound judgment, and professionalism.

• Strong organizational skills with the capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
