Field Adjuster – Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site inspections and field investigations for assigned claims.

• Examine properties, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident scenes as dictated by the assignment.

• Document damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other pertinent findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagrams.

• Assess loss facts and aid in the investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposure.

• Collect statements from insured individuals, claimants, witnesses, or other relevant parties as necessary.

• Generate timely, precise, and effectively documented reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as required.

• Ensure complete file documentation is maintained in compliance with company standards, client instructions, and regulatory requirements.

• Appropriately escalate complex issues, large-loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns.

• Manage field assignments adhering to service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standards.

• Travel within the assigned VA/MD territory as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in field adjusting or related claims.

• Possession of active adjuster license(s) and the capability to acquire additional licenses based on territory.

• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

• Willingness to travel locally and regionally within the assigned territory.

• Excellent documentation, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Proficient in using claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systems.

• Expertise in Xactimate.

• Experience managing field property claims.

• Familiarity with Xactimate and Xactware products.

• Knowledge of third-party resources utilized in property estimating such as Eagleview, Hover, etc.

• Capability to work independently while overseeing deadlines, territory activities, and service expectations.

• Strong investigative mindset with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional demeanor when engaging with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and carrier representatives.

• Ability to juggle multiple assignments and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic field environment.
