This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Acquire skills to document, edit, and manage all Outside Plant (OSP) long-haul fiber networks assets that interconnect various Points-of-Presence (POPs).
• Receive training to evaluate engineering diagrams, design schematics, and vendor As-Built documentation.
• Collaborate with senior specialists to ensure the accuracy and logical organization of field infrastructure assets by reviewing design drawings, schematics, and diagrams, conducting detailed data checks, and aiding in the resolution of discrepancies between physical infrastructure and its digital representation.
• Partner with the team to digitize, record, and validate all passive and active network elements, ensuring that all modifications (Moves, Adds, Changes) are accurately documented and recorded in the system.
• Offer support by generating basic network data reports, assisting with capacity assessments, and facilitating communication among the engineering, installation, and field survey teams.
• Employ software tools such as AutoCad and Google Earth/Maps to visualize, plan, and communicate network paths and layouts.
• Basic understanding or demonstrated interest in telecommunications construction methods, networking principles, or fiber optic technology.
• Proven ability to be highly organized and detail-oriented when handling data or complex documentation.
• Competency with the Google suite (particularly Sheets) and a strong aptitude for quickly learning new, complex software platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of clearly documenting technical information for diverse audiences.
• Awareness of the significance of establishing and maintaining clear process documentation and technical guides.
• Any experience with specialized fiber network management software (e.g., OSPi, Netcracker, ArcGIS, SmallWorld).
• Familiarity with interpreting technical schematics or blueprints.
• Basic understanding of fiber network infrastructure, routes, splicing, racks, panels, or cabling standards.
