Festival Digital Content Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Creating fresh UX copy for essential Festival informational pages, including the homepage and How to Fest sections, as well as online marketing materials like automated and targeted emails.

• Analyzing the intricate details of Festival logistics to produce revised copy and formatting that effectively communicates information to our audience on the platform (for instance: Ticketing page).

• Composing introductory blurbs for various pages on the Festival platform, such as the Festival Program Guide schedule and Venue pages.

• Drafting concise UX instructional copy as required, including page headers and explanatory text.

• Regularly updating copy within the platform backend/CMS and WordPress in a timely manner.

• Ensuring that all copy on the platform is consistently proofread and refreshed.

• Overseeing email projects, including Festival newsletters and targeted communications.

• Assisting in the project management of updates to platform pages, such as our homepage content calendar and mobile app notifications.

• Collaborating with various departments across the Institute to collect Festival updates and vital information to enhance platform copy and communicate effectively with Festival audiences.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in copywriting and editing for both print and online marketing materials.

• Proven track record in crafting concise and clear copy for large-scale events or intricate procedures.

• Familiarity and comfort with understanding website UX principles.

• Capability to distill complex information into easily comprehensible copy for a general audience.

• Strong collaboration skills across departments with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Creative and analytical thinking skills to provide recommendations based on UX copy best practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and content management systems (CMS); experience with WordPress and Elementor is preferred.

• Excellent project management abilities.

• Knowledge of HTML is a plus.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
