This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop and/or oversee freelance talent to create sponsored content initiatives for meeting planners, event professionals, and corporate travel purchasers.
• Generate short-form articles, comprehensive reports, insight presentations, and video scripts.
• Act as the Studio team's subject matter expert in the meetings and events industry.
• Keep track of trends in group business, incentive travel, venue development, and event technology.
• Ensure editorial excellence, brand consistency, engaging tone, and alignment with sponsor messaging.
• Utilize Claude and ChatGPT for brainstorming, outlining, interview preparation, and desk research, while ensuring factual accuracy and originality.
• Collaborate with Skift's sales team on pre-sales ideation and industry-specific proposals.
• Oversee client communications, content feedback, deliverables, deadlines, and content visibility.
• Research, script, and facilitate live and virtual partner events, panels, webinars, and sponsored Skift Summit/Forum discussions.
• Work alongside the internal studio team to maintain, enhance, and broaden the business-events product offerings.
• In-depth knowledge of the corporate meetings, incentives, conferences, and events sector.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by meeting planners, procurement leaders, and venue buyers.
• Proven experience in covering, creating content, or writing about MICE-related sectors such as hotel group sales, CVBs, DMCs, or event technology.
• Background in a dynamic marketing, advertising agency, or B2B trade publishing setting.
• Familiarity with AI content accelerators for initial drafting and research purposes.
• Proficiency in WordPress, HubSpot, and Google Drive.
• Capability to manage client relationships and feedback effectively.
• Skill in creating polished sales materials and proposals.
• Comfort as a public speaker and moderator for live events.
• Ability to independently grasp complex business processes and convert raw information into compelling narratives.
• Complete fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in writing, editing, and proofreading multi-format copy with a sophisticated, professional tone, free of grammatical or spelling errors.
• Willingness to work during East Coast USA hours.
